5 Reasons, Leaders Must Go To The FRONT Of The Line

While some people, want to be leaders, by merely, making empty promises, and using populist rhetoric, this approach, is neither, in the longer - term, effective/ meaningful, nor inspiring/ motivating, enough, to lead, others, in a relevant, sustainable manner! All, too often, we witness, pseudo - leaders, who appear, to believe in the, Do as I say, not as I do, approach, but, true leaders, realize and recognize, it is incumbent upon a genuine leader, to lead, by his actions, if he is to inspire others, to become more involved, and/ or committed. When constituents witness someone, who, consistently, leads, by example, it inspires them, towards buying - into, that leader's message, and/ or plan! With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly consider, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, why true leaders, must go, to the FRONT of the line.
1. Face facts; future; furnish; fruition: Effective, meaningful leadership, begins, when someone, proactively, is willing to face the facts, rather than, burying - his - head, in the sand, and hoping things get better, by themselves! Proactive leaders look beyond current obstacles, alone, but, seek viable options, to bring about the most sustainable, quality future! A leader must furnish others, with a system, and viable solution, to address, both, the current, relevant needs, as well as bringing about a well - considered, sustainable solution. However, only someone who has the persistence, and endurance, to patiently pursue his plans, in a can - do, positive way, will bring his ideas, to fruition!
2. Relevant; reach; reliable; responsive: One must demonstrate he seeks relevant approaches, and proactively, reaches out, to his stakeholders, in order to get them further involved/ committed! He must be considered, reliable, and responsive, and leading, by example, is one of the most effective approaches!
3. Open - minded; options; opportunities: When one proceeds, with an open - mind, he considers several viable options, and alternatives, and prepares, to recognize the finest opportunities, and take advantage of them!
4. Needs: A leader must, clearly, demonstrate, by his words, and, mostly, his actions, he cares deeply, and understands, the needs, goals, perceptions, and priorities of his constituents. However, getting them, to believe in you, means, stepping, to the front, of the line, and proactively, proving, he's worthy of their trust, etc!
5. Timely: Those who straddle, the fence, and fail to take a position, tend to procrastinate, when timely action is needed, and necessary.
True leaders must go to the FRONT of the line! Are you up to the task, and responsibilities?
